Clarifying meeting dates. Message-ID: <003301c8f3d0$7e2e74a0$e3758690@19ffa783137a4f4> We've received some inquiries about the next meeting date in August, which also will be a workshop about garden design. It will be on Sunday the 24th, as it said in the report, eventhough it is the 4th Sunday of August. But since September the gatherings of the Community Garden Group will be held on the 3rd. Sunday of every month. That information is also correct in the article. Sorry about the confusion. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I would be happy to share some of this with you. Although have not used it in a Breadmaking Machine due to the extended rising time. You can add yeast to get it to work in a Bread making Machine cycle that still gives the flavour but upsets the sourdough purists. I currently use a Kenwood Chef to kneed and then bake in the oven using traditional bread tins. I find this give a better shaped loaf for sandwich slices. Also recently bought a grain mill to grind my own organic grain and hoping this will improve my bread with fresher & healthier flour. Hope this helps. We think it'd be a good idea if members of our garden group join LETS, to be able to exchange/barter products. We already have an outlet to sell organic produce in Cobargo but it doesn't cater for people who'd like to share some vegies/fruit instead of selling, which are the majority of members. Would you be able please, to send me up-date general information (brief with website and contact phone numbers) about LETS functions/aims/history, etc. and enrollment forms for people who haven't heard about it or/and doesn't know what we really do. The meeting is on Sunday, 24th of August, so I need to get the papers soon, and then organize photocopies, etc. Thankyou very much. MPG-Caps and MPG -Mega -Crumbs (for large trucks and school buses etc) may be worth a try. It can result in up to 30% fuel savings, can reduce emissions up to 75% and can result in more power for you vehicle. They are recommended for use in all petrol, diesel, bio diesel powered engines. We have just travelled up to Noosa, QLD, and back towing a caravan with a large 4wd ute and started using the MPG-Caps. We did quite a bit of city traffic, and up and down escarpments etc. Fuel consumption averaged out at 12.3 l per 100km. That was less then prior to using the MGP-caps and the ute wasn't towing anything or filled with luggage either! for more technical details please consult :www.travelcheaper.myffi.biz For all lets members we offer the option of buying directly, paying in part AUD $ part sapphs. You may also purchase these and many other products directly online using a credit card (no sapphs accepted there). Rrp. for 10 MPG-Caps (for use in cars, utes, mowers, tractors etc, diesel or petrol) is $40. You can buy them through the lets trading system for $30 plus 10 sapphs plus postage / or pick up. for up to 60 liters per tank re-filling, recommended dosage is half a tablet (equivalent of currently less than 1 litre of petrol). If you are interested in buying them directly for part sapphs part $, i have a limited supply per month available for lets members. i am happy to increase this amount (currently 3 lots at 10 MPG-Caps) if a lot of you find the product useful. for this initial offer, i have 12 lots of 10 tablets available. thank you for taking time to read this, may the product be of use to you. i am simply offering you all this product, because i know that many of us don't have too much spare cash and most of us will be very concerned about what we are doing to our environment, but yet depend on using cars etc. while an income could in theory be generated with this product, as it normally is sold through a direct marketing system, i want to make it easy for everyone interested without having to join and just get the benefits for yourself and the environment. i believe that this product should be sold everywhere where petrol is sold - but obviously, they probably wouldn't have too much of in interest in that. offering you the product directly, does not generate an income for me whatsoever, it is simply a service. blessings to you all, lorea elia From info at angelsonearth.com.au Mon Aug 4 14:48:43 2008 From: info at angelsonearth.com.au (Lorea Elia) Date: Mon, 04 Aug 2008 14:48:43 +1000 Subject: [BV_LETS] original african mask & large water feature In-Reply-To: <1217764722.24088.1266733381@webmail.messagingengine.com> References: <1217764722.24088.1266733381@webmail.messagingengine.com> Message-ID: <48968A2B.4080009@angelsonearth.com.au> hello everyone we have an original hand carved african mask (tuess: approx 50cm long) for sale. we have bought it from an artisan in cameroon 10 years ago for approximately $50. is anyone interested in giving it a new home for part sapphs, part $? please make an offer. mask we also have a water feature table with two chairs available. green slate chairs and table top, painted concrete bowl. legs are out of metal. comes with an as new pump and pebbles. the rock over which the water cascades are natural. height of water spout adjustable. this would look great with a few plants, in a sun room or outdoors on your veranda. new cost $380.00. available for 50 sapph, + 90 $. should we get several people interested please make an offer. we love this item but simply don't have the space to do it justice and will be moving, so many more items will be for sale too later. water feature thanks for taking time to look! blessings, lorea elia -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Offer as little or as much as you like, it all helps. BEND will debit your account for the amount offered and you can pick up the books in Bega by arrangement - we live near the hospital. Our eco- neighbourhood development in Bega has run where possible on a sapphs economy. Each block in the Bend subdivision will inherit a small Sapphs 'debt', which will encourage LETS participation by residents. To help make the five or six NfPRH blocks more viable for housing providers, we hope to raise some Sapphs towards covering their share. Sharon and I open up our property to the public for the last time at an Open Days this weekend, 30th & 31st August. We are about to place it on the market and prepare for a move into BEND. Brogo Permaculture Gardens was always intended to be a showcase to the public of permaculture principles in action providing basic family needs of housing, food and good resource management.I feel the need to honor Sharon and the kids for living in a fish bowl during these events. The main comment I get from people is that its one thing seeing a random assembly of structures, animals and plants and a totally different experience having it explained as to the thoughts behind what you see working.Tours go for an hour and a half. Featured include - passive solar mudbrick home; active solar power system, legal hand built composting toilet; reuse greywater system to orchard; integrated poultry\orchard systems; keyline water harvesting techniques; windbreaks that work, over 70 species of edible trees, shrubs and tubers with many being sub-tropical varieties and a small agroforesty trial. Entry is $5 per adult with pensioners & children under 16 free with proceeds to our favorite NGO IDEP - Indonesian Development in Education of Permaculture. Our youngest son Liam will be making pocket money selling refreshments in the kitchen. Guided Tours begin each day at the top of the driveway at - 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.00pm. This last group on Sunday are welcome to bring along a home brew or two. For directions to our place go to the bottom of the Home Page where there is a mudmap at - www.permaculturedesign.com.au Your all very welcome John From hannic at aapt.net.au Wed Aug 27 21:50:10 2008 From: hannic at aapt.net.au (Hanni Corbett) Date: Wed, 27 Aug 2008 21:50:10 +1000 Subject: [BV_LETS] need a ride to Cooma on Friday afternoon References: <001d01c9063b$4428a000$6401a8c0@ga8s661fxmprz> <48B27BD6.9090205@angelsonearth.com.au> Message-ID: <001301c9083b$0f49fe90$0201010a@pippi> I need a ride toNimmitabel or Cooma urgently on Friday afternoon for my daughter Katie because I am having difficulties driving long distances at present Hanni From info at adobewebs.com Thu Aug 28 06:59:36 2008 From: info at adobewebs.com (ADOBE WEBSITE DESIGNS) Date: Thu, 28 Aug 2008 06:59:36 +1000 Subject: [BV_LETS] need a ride to Cooma on Friday afternoon In-Reply-To: <001301c9083b$0f49fe90$0201010a@pippi> References: <001d01c9063b$4428a000$6401a8c0@ga8s661fxmprz> <48B27BD6.9090205@angelsonearth.com.au> <001301c9083b$0f49fe90$0201010a@pippi> Message-ID: <48B5C038.6080606@adobewebs.com> An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
