I'd like to get some trade stories - it may be of a strange object that found a new home or a reprieve from landfill, a great-value offer that turned up just when it was needed, a service provided for sapphs that made everyone happy, whatever. Ideally, both parties to the trade could contribute a few words. Also, this is an opportunity to list some items or offers on the What's On and What's On Offer' page. New members - why not introduce yourself a little so that others know of new services available in our pool of skills and experience. Forthcoming events related to LETS or our networking ambitions could provide more content, if you let us know about it. Also, pictures from LETS events, working bees etc. Please send them to me as files of about 1 megabyte, but be careful to send them to my address lentil at netspace.net.au and not to the whole list, as they will clog up people's downloads. If you have a few, send me smaller files 'saved for web' or saved for email by your photo program, and I'll request larger versions of specific ones. The deadline for submissions is 14 October. This gives us time to get electronic or printed copies of the newsletter to members ahead of our next LETS Gathering in early November. Word docs, text in the body of emails and pdf artwork are fine. Call or email me if I can help nurture your contributions onto the page. I will be away (from email as well) from 6 to 10 October, but can be reached on 044 7599 822 throughout. For this work we will have our builder Frank Thomas down here for a whole week and we are looking for people with skills in rendering who could help us out and willing to accept Sapphs for payment. This is not an official workshop, but Frank is well known throughout the strawbale industry so there's much to learn from him. If you would like to help us and have some time between the 26th and 31st of October please give us a call 6494 7927. Have a look at the progress of our house of straw at http://eckelmann.com.au/strawbale/ Cheers, Carsten & Tina -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
