The event was held on Saturday and was a huge success. The 50km trek in the Kangaroo Valley region attracted over 250 participants in over 50 teams, and the walk and the weather were beautiful. The target of $30,000 was exceeded by close to $30,000, which means that more houses in the remote area of Remexio in East Timor will be able to receive solar lighting to replace inadequate, expensive and unhealthy kerosene lights.
