The theme of the Seminar is "Learning through Volunteering - Success Stories, Challenges and Future Directions". The Seminar and Lunch will take place on Thursday 6 September from 10am to 3pm in Bega Valley Shire Council Chambers. If you, or one of your colleagues, would like to make a presentation at the seminar, please contact the Far South Coast Community College by Wednesday 22 August. A final notice for the Seminar featuring the program for the event will be distributed on Thursday 23 August. The Seminar will include the presentation of the annual Learningworks Awards for Innovation and Resourcing Education. You'll recall that last year's winners were: Extensions to the Bega Education Centre and services to higher education in the Region - Bega Education Centre & University of Wollongong Sapphire Coast Mobile Marine Laboratory - Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre and NSW State Government Environmental Trust Mobile IT Laboratory - IMB Community Foundation and Far South Coast Community College Nominations are currently being received for this year's Learningworks Awards. To nominate a project and/or an organisation, please forward your nomination to the Far South Coast Community College by Wednesday 22 August. I have moved to Brisbane this year but still keep my hand (and eye) in.
